Piano Lessons for all ages with an Experienced Teacher

My name is Jan Graham and I am a piano teacher living in Saughall village, near Chester, with more than 18 years experience giving piano lessons to children and adults.

 

I teach piano in my home and give half hour lessons at a cost of £15 per lesson (or an hour at £30 if requested).

I am a graduate and grade 8 pianist. I am also a mother of two grown-up sons whom I taught to play piano to grade 8 standard. The elder is a music graduate, currently completing his masters degree and planning a career in film music composition.
 
I started my piano teaching business - Jan Graham Piano Tuition - in 2004 and have an excellent exams success record, with a high proportion of my pupils obtaining Distinctions and Merits in their ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) examinations. In addition to teaching students to play the piano, I also prepare them for their grade 5 music theory exam.

 

I teach pupils from diverse backgrounds, different ages (currently ranging from seven to mid-80s) and with varying degrees of experience in reading music or playing an instrument. (I specialise in teaching complete  beginners). I have some experience of teaching pupils with special needs including Autism, Asperger's, Dyslexia, Irlen Syndrome and Dyspraxia.

 

Many who start piano lessons are apprehensive - either because it's a totally new experience for them or because they have unpleasant memories of lessons with a strict or impatient teacher. I always try to put my piano pupils at their ease and like to get to know them as individuals.

Many of my piano pupils live near to Saughall in areas such as Sealand, Shotwick, Mollington, Two Mills and Puddington but I also teach piano learners from all around Chester including Blacon, Upton, Hoole Village, Bridge Trafford, Bache, Boughton, Mickle Trafford, Great Boughton, Wervin, Newton, Broughton, Handbridge, Rowton, Saighton, Balderton, Vicars Cross, Saltney, Eccleston, Dodleston, Mouldsworth, Backford, Mollington, Eaton, Christleton, Huntington, Littleton, Poulton, Sealand, Waverton, Upton Heath, Westminster Park and Moston.
